Do you work with fixed fees?
Yes. I work with fixed fees, either per matter or per consultation, depending on the nature of the case. Fees are agreed in advance, based on complexity and scope. I do not bill by the hour for strategic or cross-border matters.
What is included in a fixed fee?
The scope of work is clearly defined in advance. Anything outside that scope is discussed and agreed separately before proceeding.
Do fixed fees ever change?
No. Fixed fees remain unchanged unless the scope of the matter is materially altered by the client or external circumstances.
How do I know if my case is a good fit?
If your situation involves Spanish law, cross-border elements and requires careful planning rather than urgent paperwork, it is likely a good fit. A preliminary consultation allows us to assess this properly.
Can I hire you for a specific task only?
I work on matters that require a global legal perspective. I do not take isolated tasks without strategic context, as this often creates legal risk rather than reducing it.
Do you take urgent or last-minute matters?
I work with planned, structured matters. Urgent cases are assessed individually and only accepted if they allow for proper handling.
Will I work directly with you?
Yes. I personally handle every matter I accept. I do not delegate core legal work to junior lawyers or third parties.
Do you collaborate with other professionals or law firms?
When necessary, I coordinate with trusted professionals in other jurisdictions. I remain responsible for the overall legal strategy and coherence of the matter.
Can you step in if another advisor has already been involved?
Yes, provided the matter can be properly assessed and restructured. Previous work is reviewed carefully before I accept responsibility for the case.
Do you provide document translations?
I can prepare informal or explanatory translations of documents for specific situations or to facilitate understanding. When translations are required for legal or official purposes, I work with certified translators to ensure accuracy and legal validity.
Can I rely on unofficial or machine translations?
No. In legal matters, unofficial or automated translations often create misunderstandings and legal risk. Only certified translations are used when accuracy is essential.
What if documents are missing or incomplete?
This is common in cross-border matters. Part of my role is to identify what is essential, what can be obtained, and how to proceed without creating unnecessary delays or risk.
